Rebel Og Squad Activity Weekend Aug 9th


Rebel Og logos reworkedHighlights from last weekend saw the Rebel Óg u17 hurlers play Galway in a very close game that ended level with the Rebel Óg squad scoring 0-20 to Galways 1-17. This game will stand to the players who are preparing for the Eugene Carey Memorial Tournament in Mallow at the end of August.

The u14 hurlers took 2 squads to Galway to play in a blitz. Both squads had good wins over Clare while Galway proved too strong for both sides. The squad is getting ready for the Tony Forristal and Sonny Walsh Tournaments in Waterford and have an attractive meeting with Dublin in Ballincollig this weekend.

Diarmuid O Sullivan continues to guide the u16 hurlers and Ger Lane, County Chairman was a visitor to their training in Kilworth on Saturday last.

The football squads at u15 and u16 were in the Mardyke for testing of their conditioning programme. All players will receive the results of the tests in the coming days from the Mardyke Sports Science Department.

The u14 footballers trained in Ballincollig with Graham Canty and Conor Counihan giving welcome advice to the players.
