Primary Schools Blitz in Pairc Ui Chaoimh

Rebel Óg Coaching held a 3rd class Hurling and Football Blitz in Pairc ui Chaoimh on Wednesday 12th June and again on Thursday 13th June for all primary schools in the county.

It was for 3rd class pupils only and teams had 7-9 players on each team. Schools were encouraged to enter multiple teams and to pick teams evenly (e.g. Don’t just bring the strongest 9 players and leave everyone else at school, it is a participation blitz to give children the chance to play on the Astro in Pairc ui Chaoimh). Schools were also asked to bring a 6th class student/s to assist as referees/umpires.

Colm Crowley GDA responsible for this blitz was delighted with the response from schools saying “It was great to see the younger players who are not involved in Scaith na Scoil getting game time in the 4G Astroturf pitch in Pairc Ui Chaoimh, Its good for them to be active and to be able to say they played here at Pairc Ui Chaoimh”
A big well done to all the teachers, mentors and pupils who took part in the blitz over the two days.
