East Cork Post Primary Schools football tournament

East Cork GDA Shane Supple has organised a new football tournament for Post Primary Schools in East Cork. This Gaelic Football league for East Cork PPS is for 1st year and 2nd year students in East Cork aimed at the U14/U15 age group primarily

The Imokilly Board have kindly donated a trophy The James Colbert Memorial Cup for the winners of the Cup in this league and Rebel Og Coaching have sponsored a trophy for the winners of the Shield in this league. The winning schools will hold these for 1 year and return it at the end of that period.

This year we have six school teams involved drawn this into 2 groups and the winners of each group play in a final. The time frame for this tournament is to run from Nov 2018 to May 2019.

Each school gets 1 home game and 1 away game in round 1. A draw will be made for venue etc in Semi Final Stages.

THE JAMES COLBERT MEMORIAL CUP was is presented to the winners of the independent Clubs County Junior B Grade Football Championship commemorates the late Jimmy Colbert a great follower of Ballinacurra and Imokilly hurling and football teams during his lifetime.  In 2018 The Board were approached by East Cork GDA Shane Supple who was starting a Post Primary School Football Tournament in East Cork and was looking for a Cup to use for this competition. The Board agreed that they could allow the Cup be used for this Competition and help support football within the Imokilly Division.
